John J. Balwierczak, the beloved son of the late Chester S. and the late Virginia (nee Furman) Balwierczak. Loving brother of Kathy (the late Billy Joe) Payne; Margie (Michael) Musinski; Chet (Janet) Balwierczak; and Teri (Bruce) Yahiro. Dearest uncle to Joseph (Heather), Lucas (Michelle) and Katie Payne; Jennifer Blake; Melissa, Kristen and Sarah Balwierczak; and Kevin (Courtney) and Amy Yahiro. Proud great-uncle to Natalie Yahiro. He will be missed.
John was an independent soul who loved sports and especially his beloved Chicago Cubs. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Cubs Charities ([email protected]), the Anthony Rizzo Family Foundation (rizzo44.com), or the charity of your choice.
A memorial service will be held at Malec and Sons Funeral Home 6000 N Milwaukee Ave. Chicago, IL 60646 on Saturday, July 17, from 10am – 1pm. A private inurnment will be scheduled at St. Adalbert Cemetery at a later date.
