JOHN C.MARLOVITZ age 89, U.S. Army Sgt. WWII combat Veteran passed away peacefully May 31, 2015 surrounded by love. Loving father of John Jr., James (Maureen), Linda and the late William; cherished grandfather of James, Steven, John, Michael, Matthew and Marissa; dearest brother of Ted and the late Mildred (the late Kenneth) Hall and the late Isabel (the late Richard) Thomas and the late Mary; beloved longtime companion of Lynn Chahaj; devoted son of the late John and Mary; and dear uncle and cousin of many. John retired from the Chicago Police Department after 32 years of service. He also worked several other jobs, notably with Material Service laying the foundation for the John Hancock building and as a security officer at Gucci's. Visitation Sunday 3 - 9 p.m. Funeral Monday 10:15 a.m. from The Montclair-Lucania Funeral Home, 6901 W. Belmont Ave., to St. William Church, 2600 N.
