Leonides Polanco

Leonides Polanco, age 90, was born in Aguada, Puerto Rico on June 24, 1931, and went home to the Lord on June 10, 2022, surrounded by his loving family. Leonides was the most loving father of Efrain (Rebecca) Polanco, Maria (Vito) Gramarossa, Evelyn Polanco, Nilsa Polanco, Doel Polanco, Leonides Polanco Jr., and Jason Polanco; adoring grandfather of Efrain Polanco Jr., Doris Salas, Mario Rodriguez, Joey Doornbos, Tiffany Gramarossa, Alyssa Polanco, Amber Polanco, and Nicholas Polanco; most adoring great-grandfather and great-great-grandfather of many; dear son of the late Marcial & Isabel Polanco; beloved brother of Marta, America, Ramona, the late Tomas, and the late Margo; unforgettable uncle; caring cousin; and fond friend of many. Leonides was a proud and successful Jewelry Store Owner for over 50 years.

A visitation for Leonides will be held Wednesday, June 15, 2022 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Montclair-Lucania Funeral Home, Blossom Venue, 6901 West Belmont Ave, Chicago, IL 60634. A final viewing will occur Thursday, June 16, 2022 from 8:30 AM to 9:00 AM, 6901 West Belmont Ave, Chicago, IL 60634. A celebration of life service will occur Thursday, June 16, 2022 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM, 6901 West Belmont Ave, Chicago, IL 60634. A committal & interment service will occur Thursday, June 16, 2022 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Elmwood Cemetery and Mausoleum, 2905 North Thatcher Road, River Grove, IL 60171.
