

Steglinski, Lillian “Lee” (nee Lucarz) Passed away peacefully on August 18, 2022 at the age of 86 years born October 20, 1935 in Chicago, IL. Lillian worked in the food industry at Francis Parker School, RIC (now Shirley Ryan) and her own “Lil’s catering”. Lillian lived life to the fullest through cooking, gardening, seeing monthly plays and Operas, going on day tour trips. She was a member at one point of the Red Hat Society. Lillian enjoyed planning parties, where she created extremely beautiful presentations of all her home cooked foods. In her later years Lillian started “Lil’s Dining group”. She planned for groups of friends to meet at different restaurants on a monthly basis. The highlight of Lillian’s life were her grandchildren, in which she would cook and bake favorite family recipes with them. Lillian is best remembered for her exquisite parties. She was a lovely lady, hard worker, and extremely social people person. She was very sincere, gracious and meticulous. Lillian is survived by her 4 children Walter (Bonnie) Steglinski, Robert (Ellise) Steglinski, Stephen Steglinski, Alicia (John) Fiore; Cherished Grandma Lil of Alin (Steglinski), Justin (Fiore) and Allison (Fiore); Aunt “Lee” to nephew Joseph (Caroline) Kobos and a great, great great Aunt to many nieces and nephews. Visitation for Lillian "Lee" will be held on Thursday, August 25, 2022 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Malec & Sons Funeral Home, (Edward A. Tylka, Manager), 6000 North Milwaukee Ave, Chicago, IL 60646. Chapel prayers will be on Friday, August 26, 2022 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM, at Malec & Sons Funeral Home, 6000 North Milwaukee Ave, Chicago, IL 60646.
