Maria E. “Mariette” Dalrymple, née Mertsveld, 88, of Chicago passed away on Wednesday April 2, 2014 at Morningstar Village in Rockford. Born in Belgium on Monday February 15, 1926 to Joseph and Maria (née Kerremans) Mertsveld. Devoted wife of the late Frank; beloved mother of Shirley (Joseph) Busser, Dennis (Cathy) DeGrace and Georgette (Max) DiBenedetto; cherished grandmother of Anthony, Daniel, Jayme, James, Christina and Marina; loving sister in-law of Grace Hastings; dear aunt and great aunt of many. Visitation Wednesday April 9, 2014 from 3-9pm at The Montclair-Lucania Funeral Home 6901 W. Belmont Avenue Chicago where prayers will be said 10:00am Thursday April 10, 2014 to St. Priscilla Church for an 11:00am mass of the resurrection. Interment St. Joseph Cemetery River Grove, Illinois.
