Ms. Patricia Ann Kiely

Patty was born in Chicago on January 16, 1963, the youngest of 5 children. Patty lived at Park Ridge Care Center for Adults with Down Syndrome for the past year. Prior to her move to Park Ridge, Patty resided in a wonderful group home that is part of Blue Cap, a non-profit organization dedicated to serving the needs of individuals with intellectual disabilities. Blue Cap provided opportunities for Patty to live a fulfilling and meaningful life. Patty enjoyed bowling, shopping, baseball games, dancing, and parties. One of Patty’s favorite pastimes was listening to her favorite music, headphones on and a pop in hand. Patty will be remembered by her most beloved and most devoted advocate and friend, Toni Freeman. Toni brought love, joy, and adventure to Patty's life. Toni and her family not only opened up their home to Patty, they opened up their hearts to her as well. In addition, Patty is survived by her mother Carol Halton (Frederick), step-mother Sandra Kiely, aunt Barbara Biederman, brother Kevin Kiely (Sherry), sisters Kathy Brotherton (Jim), Susie Ennis (Tom), Karen Fichtel (Ed), several nieces and nephews, and her sweetheart Keith. Patty was predeceased by her father, Terence Kiely.

The family would like to express heartfelt thanks to Dr. Erin Duminiak, and the staff at Park Ridge Care Center, especially nurses Joe and Gina. Our sincere thanks and gratitude to Pat Thies and Marge Pyzik, who brought Patty to Blue Cap all those years ago. We will be forever grateful to all who serve at Blue Cap for the kindness and compassion they have extended to Patty over these many years, especially Tionna

A memorial service will be held on Monday, March 9, 2020. Family and friends will gather at 4:00 p.m. at Andrew J. McGann & Son Funeral Home, 10727 S. Pulaski Road, Chicago, IL followed by the memorial service at 4:30 p.m. Interment Private. For more information 773-783-7700.
