She was a great lady, an excellent parent, a perfect grandmother. Although it hurts, Lolo, she'll never TRULY leave you. She'll be with her, and with the entire family in our hearts.

I just found out that Perla has passed.  I am so very sorry to learn of her passing. We go back to the University of Chicago when you were still dating and I was her dietitian-trainee.  She was a wonderful, strong-minded woman who always put her family first.  Again my sympathies.

I've known Tita Perla since I was little. She was a very close friend of my mom and our next door neighbor too. Whenever she would visit the Philippines, she would always bring tons of goodies to all of her friends and neighbors. She has a big heart. She will surely be missed by my family. Rest in Peace, Tita Perla.

Hearts are breaking everywhere with the loss of our beautiful Perla. What a kind sweet, caring, loving and gentle soul she was.  We were all so lucky to have known her.  Our thoughts and prayers are with you dear family.

I worked at Malcolm X College while Perla was there until retirement. Perla had a beautiful spirit with a great smile. She will be missed and  my prayers and condolences to you Rob and your family.  Remember death does not have the last word, God does.
