Phyllis was the loving wife to the late Don Collins for over 61 years; loving mother to Michael (Beverly) Collins and the late John Collins; proud grandmother to Stefanie (James) Dyer, Michael (Kathryn) Collins, Jennifer (Scott) Sopcich; Carolyn (Brandon) Davis; great grandmother to James, Jordan, and Penelope; cherished sister to Allan (Marcia) Fiedler; Aunt to Allan (Lori) Fiedler and Scott Fiedler.
She retired at 65, after many years of service as a lunchroom hostess at Prairie Jr. High School. Phyllis was an avid reader, loved to walk, shop, and play bingo.
Visitation will be 3-9 pm Wednesday, August 21, 2019 at Andrew J. McGann & Son Funeral Home (10727 S. Pulaski Rd; Chicago, IL 60655). Mass of Christian Burial will be Thursday, August 22, 2019 at 11:30 am.
