My Dear Sweet Daddy I miss you so-so much!  I miss hearing your voice calling my name.  I miss your soothing smile.  Most of all Dad I miss caring for you in your time of suffering...and you did most certainly suffer Dad!
I miss bundling you up in your big green comforter at night to keep you warm.  I miss talking to you and telling you that you were going to be ok.  I miss holding your hand in the silence of the night.  My heart has broken Dad in the absence of your physical being, but with the memory of your gentle and sweet self it will slowly mend until the day I hold your hand again.

Dear Pops,
   I love you. You were the best Dad. You always worked so hard for your family. I remember how you worked 3 jobs at a time, and told me how you would wake up and not remember which job you had to go to. I am so glad I had the time to take care of you even though it broke my heart a little each day knowing the angels would soon be coming to take you from me. I enjoyed every minute,every second I spent making you breakfast and dinner, watching the Hawks game, the Bull's games and our little chats. I miss you so much already,but I know that you are in a better place and no longer suffering. You were so strong through all of it.My heart aches, but I know we shall see each other again one day. Rest in peace pops. I love you always and forever.

Grandpa, it goes without saying but you will be dearly missed. Usually this is where mourning takes over, but I truly believe this is a time to, above all else, be proud. To be proud of the full, amazing and successful life you lived, proud of the wonderful children you raised, proud of this great, loving, and so closely knit family that you built, and most of all, proud of how much of a fighter you were your whole life right up to the very end.  And to simply be proud to call you my Grandfather. I still think back to the awesome stories you would tell me from serving on the force and from the Korean War, and I would always ask for how many planes you shot down.  I still hear your voice saying, "HEY THERE BUDDY!" any time I would walk into a family gathering.  You liked to switch it up sometimes and use a whole bunch of nicknames for me, all of which were absolutely great.  You are and always will be an inspiration to me and everyone else who loves you. I love you Grandpa. Rest In Peace.  We will have that beer together when I see you again.

Dear Dad,
You were the best dad a daughter could ever ask for and you were always there for me. The hardest working man I ever knew.  My heart is broken that you are gone, but I know you are in a better place and not suffering anymore.  I feel so blessed and privileged that I was able to help comfort you and care for you the best I could during your final days.
