Robert Roy Williams, age 78. Beloved husband of Irma M. Olmedo. Loving father of Diana and Daniel; doting grandfather of Sonia. Cherished brother to Dennis and Susan, cousin to David and Karen, and uncle to Marjory, David, Keely, Amanda, Matthew, Emily, and Christian. Esteemed colleague to many.
Robert was professor emeritus at University of Illinois Chicago, where he taught philosophy and religion. His last book, Hegel on the Proofs and the Personhood of God: Studies in Hegel's Logic and Philosophy of Religion (Oxford, 2017), will be the subject of a special memorial issue of the Owl of Minerva, the journal of the Hegel Society of America.
