

Born in Basra, Iraq on July 28, 1930, passed away peacefully on January 1, 2021. Beloved husband of the late Armineh Simon and the loving father of Robert (Christine) and Edward (Allison). Proud grandfather of Rachel, Brandon, Emily, Ethan, Lucas, and Ava. Brother to Violet Youna, Surpik Simon, Suren Simon, and Serak Simonian. Caring uncle of many nieces and nephews.
Studied in Japan before receiving Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering from Michigan Tech.
Retired transportation engineer who worked many years for the City of Chicago.
Long-time member of St. James Armenian Apostolic Church. Also served on the Armenian General Benevolent Union (AGBU) board.
Enjoyed photography, videography, traveling, camping, walking, and bird watching.
Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, January 12th at St. James with the Interment following at Rosehill Cemetery.
Due to COVID-19 restrictions and capacity constraints, the funeral service and Interment will be private.
