After earning her Bachelor’s degree from the University of Illinois at Chicago, Sonia embarked upon a 20-year career at the Chicago Tribune in Customer Service.
Devoted mother of Christopher Noel Rivera, loving mother-in-law of Claudia Rivera, very proud grandmother (“Sonia Tummy”) of Logan Tatiana Rivera and Taylor Natalie Rivera, dear sister of Carmen (Luis) Perez, Gasper Rivera, Jr. and the late Iris Rivera.
Daughter of the late Gaspar Rivera and Candida Rivera (nee Rodriguez).
Visitation Thursday, April 28, 9am to 12:30pm, at Montclair-Lucania Funeral Home, 6901 W Belmont, Chicago, 60634. Prayers at 12:30pm followed by procession to Maryhill Cemetery, Niles, Illinois.
