To the family of Tim,
I read about the loss of Tim in the ND newsletter. Tim was a couple lockers down from me at Notre Dame: he helped introduce me to guitar. I have been playing for 20 years now: we talked about guitar often and he helped teach me how to play. He also introduced me to much of the music I listened to during high school. I admired his independent personality--he influenced me as a person and I am saddened by his loss. He was one of the most important people I met during high school and I am thankful to have known him.

Miss you more and more.   You were my best friend as we grew up together.  Im so sorry, we grew apart.  I felt we were starting to get a lil back on track and you were taken to soon.  Love you cuz, aka luke duke.

Rebecca, I don't work at Best Buy but I am a merchandiser and go there for an outside company once a week. Tim was always so pleasant and willing to help with whatever assignment I had in the store. I was very shocked today to see his memorial card at the front desk. I am truly saddened and I barely knew him. I can only imagine your loss. I will keep you both in my prayers.  Mary Quinn

My husband and I are saddened by your loss. We enjoyed singing karaoke with Tim at El Jardin. He was always a shining light in the room and brought joy and laughter to those around him. He will be missed.

My sincere sympathy with the loss of your dear son. You have my sincere thoughts and prayers with you.

I was in a band with Tim, his brother Pat, and several other friends more than a decade ago. Although I'm sure I hadn't talked to him once since that time, the news of his passing hit me just as hard as it would have in 2002. Tim was a wonderful person and I consider myself very fortunate to have played a role, however brief and insignifcant, in his life. I can only imagine how hard this must be for those who knew him well and in the present. You have my sincerest condolences. Tim you will be miss sorry for your loss also

I only met him once and we chatted very briefly, but I thought he was a very nice person. To me he seemed like he was a fun loving guy who was happy with his life and I'm glad I got the chance to meet him. My heart goes out to his wife, his family, and his friends. I am truly sorry for your loss. RIP Tim Thomas.

I will truly miss Tim's always cheerful demeanor whether just checking in with the family on a regular and never ending basis or stopping by to help out with certain maintenance items on the home he grew up in.  May God bless him for all of the love he has always shown his family and the fine example of improving his own life and that of all those around him through education, hard work and a great big smile. You were my best friend and the closest thing I've ever had to a brother.  You made a lasting impact on my life and I will miss you more than any words can describe.  I'm thankful that you and I never pulled punches and we were always honest with one another.  We always knew where we stood and because of that, you knew that I loved you and I know that the feeling was mutual.  
I'm a better person for knowing you and your memory will live on in my heart and in the hearts of those who were lucky enough to know you.
