Virginia was born in Puerto Princesa, Palawan, Philippines on October 7, 1938. She was the first in the family to immigrate to the United States in 1974 in order to provide her family with more opportunities in life. After she established a job and a place to live, the rest of the Nuez family followed. She eventually opened her own dental practice and provided dental services to low-income families. She was an amazing cook of both Filipino and American cuisine, and it goes without saying that she loved to feed anyone that came to her home. She was generous to a fault. One of her passions with her husband was gardening and she had a green thumb. Her favorite flower was the pink rose which they planted in the front yard and to this very day the roses are thriving. Virginia was also a talented seamstress in the Philippines and continued this skill in the United States making clothes and costumes for her family. After she retired, she loved to sit in the kitchen and watch her favorite Filipino cable channels, but we knew it was because she always wanted to be around family. She will be missed more than we can say but know that she is in heaven dancing and laughing with her husband.
