Bill was an inspiration to me and many others, he understood that the sun was going to rise the next morning and whatever "problem" that we faced would be so much more manageable with the new morning sun. I'm very lucky to be part of his life.

There's this guy Bill and I both knew who came up to Bill and said basically, "Wow, you don't have much of a chance beating this" Bill just shrugged in a matter-of-fact way and said, "I'm not complaining. I got my money's worth." Along that same line of thinking, any time spent with Bill was well-spent. He gave me encouragement during crucial times in my life, shared his stories, returned my calls, proved you don't have to be a saint or even try to be one to be a good guy and set a good example. I know his family and friends feel this loss in a powerful way and they are not alone. I hope our memories of him will always be a blessing in our lives. Bill will be missed by many.  He has shown that life can be lived one day at a time which many people can hold onto.  He has shown it to me and I thank him.  My condolences to the family.
