James Alton Srygley

James is survived by his sons Tommy Srygley (Shavone) and James Allen Srygley (Ashley); and his daughter Melissa Ann Green (Joey); his brothers Floyd Carlton "Denkie" Srygley (Ann), Daniel Walston Srygley, Macon Preston Srygley (Trecia), Clinton Ray Srygley (Susie), and Clifton Bud Srygley (Hannelore) and his sister Teresa Ann Pennington; his grandchildren Amanda Burcham (T.J.), Blake Srygley (Emily), Carrie Wesson (Austin), James Weaver (Tayla), Autumn Weaver, Heavenly Davis, Stormie Davis, Lauren Morris (Matt), Kelsey Duncan, Hanna Srygley, Easton Duncan, and Ryan Duncan, his great grandchildren Aiden Burcham, Addison Burcham, Ava Burcham, Addison Weaver, Jasper Weaver and Annistyn Duncan.

James was preceded in death by his father Floyd Carl "Big Daddy" Srygley and his mother Clara "Big Momma" Srygley; his brother Milton Don Srygley; and his great grandson Tyler Rhett Watson.

A visitation for James will be held Thursday, November 16, 2023 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Trinity Baptist Church. A funeral service will follow the visitation at 11:00 AM. A burial will occur Friday, November 17, 2023 at 11:00 AM at Alabama National Cemetery, Montevallo, AL.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in James' memory may be made to Bill Nichol's VA Home.
