Andrew Joseph Chabot

André (Andy) Chabot was born into a large French Canadian family in Maillardville, BC. He passed away peacefully in Chilliwack, BC at the age of 77. Survived by his wife, Jo-Ann, his sons, Jason (Shawn) and Jeffrey (Jennifer), grandchildren, Jack and Kate, and by his sisters, Elmire Jakumeit and Lillian Barry. Predeceased by his siblings Placide, Maurice, Gerard, Leandré (Leon), and his much loved sister Cecile.

After working on the BC Ferries, he was employed as a manager at Sears Chilliwack for 28 years, and then as an employee at Save On Foods. André had a natural talent and passion for music, and during his retirement years, he found great fulfillment playing piano throughout the community. André will be remembered for his outgoing nature, and his sense of humour. We will miss his corny jokes and his stories, but we take consolation in our cherished memories, and in how much he touched our lives.

A private graveside service was held for André on Friday, October 18, 2019 at Chilliwack Cemeteries (Little Mountain). Friends and family are invited to attend André’s Celebration of Life at the Tea Room, Henderson’s Funeral Home on Saturday, October 26, 2019 at 2:00pm.
