Barb was born in Guelph, Ontario to parents, Matthew and Gladys Kelly, who have predeceased her along with her two older brothers, Matthew and Paul.
Barb was the beloved wife of Ben, with whom she shared nearly 48 years of commitment and partnership. Her legacy of love continues through her sons, Dan and Matt, who carry forward her values and sense of humour. She also leaves behind her daughter-in-law, Sarah, and two cherished grandsons, Jaxson and Devin.
Dedicated with a keen intellect, Barb found her true calling in nursing, where she provided compassionate care and support to countless individuals.
Barb was a talented artist and seamstress, filling her home with art and sharing her imagination with her family. She loved gardening, soap operas, music, and animals—dogs and birds in particular.
In honouring Barb’s dedication to helping those with diabetes, the family kindly requests that donations be made in her memory to Diabetes Canada through their website. A link to donate is posted below.
The family extends their heartfelt gratitude for the outpouring of love and support they have received during this difficult time. A Celebration of Life to honour Barb will be held at a later date in Chilliwack.
