It is with deep sorrow, and with hope in Jesus Christ, that we announce the passing of Bryan Benjamin Neilson, who passed away on May 5, 2026, in Abbotsford, BC at 25 years of age.
Bryan was the beloved son of Darren and Roswita Neilson, and a dearly loved brother to Jeremiah and Aaron Neilson and cherished by his extended family.
Bryan had a huge heart filled with love and compassion for others. He genuinely wanted to help people and cared deeply about those around him. One of the greatest things people will remember about Bryan was his kindness, his desire to encourage others, and the love he carried in his heart.
Bryan loved God and had a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. His faith was an important part of his life, and he found joy in worship music, fellowship, and spending time with his church family at City Life Church. The family would especially like to acknowledge Al and Annie Bird, Pastor Caswell, Jonas Lade, and the many caring members of City Life Church who supported Bryan and walked alongside him in his journey of faith.
Bryan also loved the simple and meaningful things in life. He enjoyed outdoor life, campfires, dogs, horses, and building Lego creations. He found peace in nature, joy in worship, and happiness in sharing moments with people he loved.
Though Bryan’s passing leaves an immeasurable ache in the hearts of his family and friends, they take comfort in knowing that his love for Jesus was real and that his story does not end here.
“Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me.”
John 14:1
Bryan will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by his family, friends, church family, and all whose lives were touched by his kindness and love.
