Remembering her story is why we are here,
To share all of her chapters over the years,
To continue her memories, the big and the small,
To make sure her story has no end at all.
Constance Doreen White,
Her name holds so much love,
Wife, mother, daughter, sister, friend,
And now an angel up above.
Where did the time go, how fast it seems,
That she was once here, building her dreams...
From childhood, to youth, as she grew up,
Connie saw the world and wanted nothing but love.
She loved her Mother, her Father and the entire Petkau side,
Her brothers and sister who gave her so much pride,
Your memories with her will always remain,
You are her family, you were her strength.
Connie's warmth had a glow, she easily made friends,
Relationships from the heart that had no end,
Throughout the years, those friendships grew,
So much love and laughter shared with those she knew.
And then one day her life took flight,
A new chapter started when she met Kenneth Joseph White,
And from the day they became husband and wife,
Connie loved him deeply her entire life.
And the happiness she found with him was something so true,
That was shared by Kens loving family too.
Her extended family, every one of the Whites,
Brought her so much joy throughout her life.
Many new chapters were on there way,
And one of those came on Christmas Day,
Tyler James White, her first born son,
A precious gift that would call her Mom.
And so began motherhood and another new chapter,
But this one came almost 3 years after,
He came out raring to go, red hair and blue eyes,
Her second baby boy, Craig Matthew Hance White.
She loved her boys with every part of her being,
They brought her and Ken's life brand new meaning.
And as she watched her young boys wrestle and play,
She knew they would take on the world one day.
She always believed in her family of four,
And was sure there was nothing that she could love more.
Until one day her boys met some ladies,
And blessed her even more with her 5 grand babies.
Now, this new chapter was filled with girls,
Connie’s grand daughters were her entire world.
Words cannot describe the love she had for them,
And they will always know in their hearts that she was their Nanna.
And then it was your time, we don’t know the reason,
We will cherish the chapters and all of the seasons,
Your life was beautiful, a story worth telling,
Because you showed us that family is everything.
"Don't forget me", you can hear her say,
But how can we Connie, you were so brave.
You amazed us through the thick and thin,
We are all so proud of all you have been.
All of us here, we are left with each other,
While you go say hi to Papa and your Mother,
But we will be thinking of you each and every day,
And we promise to carry on the memories you made.
So to all of us here, don't look back,
The shadows of the past are just that,
Forgiveness and love is all that we need,
To move forward in life in order to succeed.
If you had one last word, what would it be,
To tell those you love, that you would no longer see,
Would it be I love you, or I'm sorry or I’m proud...
Whatever it is say it right now.
Love one another more than you know,
Feel something deeper and allow it to grow,
Some may not believe that heaven is true,
But Connie is there watching and waiting for you.
We may never understand until we are there,
Where our souls go after we leave here,
But if you look closely at the stars up high,
You will hear Connie saying, "I love you as big as the sky..."
