Darlene Myrna Crossett

On July 15, 2026 Darlene left this world to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. The Bible says in 2 Corinthians 5:8 "We are confident I say, and prefer to be away from the body and at home with the Lord." Right now, Darlene is smiling, singing, and probably laughing as she enjoys worshipping God in heaven. And what a wonderful place it is. Imagine being in a place where there is no suffering, no mourning, crying, or pain. There is peace and contentment as a believer basks in the glory of God (being in his presence) and experiencing his love.

Darlene was a kind, sweet, and caring person who loved helping others. Every morning for about 25 years, she would drive to a restaurant, enjoy a coffee, and look for people (rich and poor) that she could give an encouraging word. Many times she didn't have to leave her seat, as those in need would gravitate towards her. She was such a good listener that those who knew her said Darlene should be a counsellor. Actually, she was... she just didn't get paid for it.

She worked for many years as a receptionist for a back doctor which she enjoyed. However, her favorite job was working as a customer service rep for the Provincial Motor Vehicle Branch. Even though some clients were not too happy because they had to pay off their fines before getting their license renewed, they would still leave her booth with a smile on their faces.

Darlene is predeceased by her son, Kevin, and is survived by her husband Gary, son John, daughter Julie, and sisters Myra and Victoria. Let's not forget the wonderful grandchildren... Zack, Holly, Eddie, Jackie, Paige, Cole, and Colton.
