Born in England , she immigrated to Canada as a young child. She attended school in Chilliwack where she met her future husband and lifelong soulmate, Donald Patten. The two settled in Chilliwack where they raised their family and became active members of the community.
Elaine was a talented artist and avid gardener. She also had a passion for cooking and entertaining much to the delight of family and friends who were always treated to an exceptional culinary experience in a warm and welcoming environment.
Elaine was predeceased by her loving husband Donald, to whom she was married for 61 years. She is survived by her loving children, Michael (Tracy) and Lee Ann (Geoff), grandchildren, Emily, James and Katherine, sister in law, Deborah (John) , Meredith and Jackson, and family and friends across the country.
Elaine will always be remembered for her generous heart, kind nature and her love for family and friends.
A small celebration of her exceptional life will be held at a future date.
