It is with deep sorrow and joy in the Lord, that He in His infinite Wisdom, has taken from us our dear, beloved daughter and sister, Emmarie Maelle Quik, on July 2, 2026, at the tender age of 5 years.
Emmarie was born on January 12, 2021. She had a bubbly, outgoing personality and made friends with whomever she met. She graduated from Bethel Preschool in May 2026 and was enrolled to attend Mount Cheam Christian School this September.
She will be dearly missed by her parents Corné and Michelle Quik-VanderMeer, her brothers Lincoln (9), Landen (7), and her two younger twin sisters, Addyson and Irelynn (2.5 years). She is also survived by her grandparents, Harry and Lydie Quik, and John and Marilyn VanderMeer; her great-grandmothers, Eldertina Quik, and Berendina de Jong, both in the Netherlands; several aunts and uncles, and 23 cousins.
Emmarie was predeceased by her great-grandparents; Andries Quik, Leendert de Jong, Jan and Suzanna VanderMeer-Boers and John and Judith Overeem-Slingerland.
In lieu of flowers and gifts, we deeply appreciate a donation in Emmarie’s memory to either: Bethlehem Foundation Canada, BC Children's Hospital, or Mount Cheam Christian School.
