Gordon is survived by his wife, Wilhelmina "Josie", his son Troy, and grandson, Donovan; his daughter, Sita; his brother Gerald, nieces Kristie and Jill, and nephew Curtis.
Gordon was a man of few words, but his thoughts were always clear and his presence spoke for itself. He was passionate about his career and took pride in his many years as an Ironworker with local 97, and later as a Safety Officer with Chevron. His work was an important part of his life and reflected his strength and determination.
Earlier this year, Gordon and his wife, Wilhelmina"Josie", celebrated a remarkable 50 years of marriage. Over those 5 decades, they shared a life that included its challenges, successes, love and loss. He often joked that he could happily pass on after reaching this milestone.
Gordon was thankful to be able to spend some one on one time with his only son, Troy, prior his passing. He joked about sharing just one more beer together while watching a ball game. Daughter, Sita, was able to provide some comfort, empathy and laughter during his time in hospital which allowed him to depart on his own terms.
Although his life was not without its challenges, in the time before his passing, Gordon found serenity. There were no tears- only laughter, acceptance, and the comfort of knowing his journey was coming to a peaceful end.
Rest in peace dad ❤️
