Gordon Leonard Parkins passed away at home at the age of 40. Gordon was born in North Vancouver, BC. He briefly lived in Edmonton until he was 4 and has been in Chilliwack for the last 35 years. He was extremely athletic and enjoyed all sports. Gordon adored his family and was an amazing father, son, brother and husband. He was dependable, loyal and a great friend. Gordon will be sadly missed by his wife Shanna Benson, his daughter Aliya Parkins and by his family Audree and Roy Parkins, Rick Parkins, Don and Brenda Benson, Jamie Benson and Kris Benson, Uncle Gordon and Sue Wilcox. Gordon was predeceased by Pearl and George Wilcox and Olga and Gordon Parkins. A Celebration of Life will be held at 1:30 pm on Saturday, November 8th 2014 at Woodlawn Mt. Cheam Funeral Home, 45865 Hocking Avenue, Chilliwack. Jason Hill and Mike Carrigan officiating. Memorial donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
