Hank (Henry/Hendrikus) Bernardus Vestering, passed away peacefully in his sleep shortly after his 83 birthday on December 27, 2025. Hank was born on December 6, 1942, in the Netherlands to Adriana and John Vestering. He is survived by his loving wife Martha, daughters Deborah Werk (Dave) Sandi Jensen (Mike) and grandsons Riley (Dakota), Morgan (Clara) and Spencer (Angie).
Hank cared for everyone he knew. He had a great love for his family and friends. He will be remembered as that friend and brother that went out of his way to make people feel special. He will also be remembered for is dry sense of humour and an unwavering sense of responsibility. He enjoyed sailing, kayaking, woodworking and building almost anything. Hank was a master at designing items that were out of the ordinary, with pristine workmanship. He also had a love for travel that he shared with Martha.
Hank was predeceased by his parents, his brother John and two of his sisters, Afra and Willy.
The family would like to thank Dr. Low and the staff at Chilliwack General Hospital who were very kind to Hank and the family during this difficult time.
There will be a Celebration of Life at a later date so that we can share our memories of Hank together.
