Peter Kemnitz passed away on August 22, 2017, at Abbotsford Regional Hospital at 81 years of age. Born May 3, 1936, in Haselbach, Germany, he immigrated to Canada in 1957 with his beloved wife, Ingrid. Known affectionately to many as Opa, he will be remembered with fondness for his brilliant and clever jokes, his delicious homemade wine, and his kindness and friendliness to all.
Peter is lovingly missed by his family, wife Ingrid; son Roger (Beth); daughter Gaby (Andy); grandchildren Matthew, Emily (Corbin), Ava (Fazineh), and Ross; great-grandson Sam; and a wealth of friends and family in Canada and Germany.
