Herb will be forever missed by his wife, Morene, with whom he shared 53 wonderful years, his son Greg (Jodi), his grandson Hunter, and his daughter Pam (Janet, Greg, & Joey). He is also survived by his brothers Bob (Marian), Richard (Maureen), and David (Sandra), as well as his in-laws and many nieces and nephews.
Herb was admired for his honesty, punctuality, humour, and willingness to help family and friends. He loved entertaining, teasing, and laughing with the children in his life.
Herb dedicated his career to the construction industry, working as a carpenter and superintendent on numerous construction projects throughout British Columbia. He later finished his career with WorkSafe BC as a construction safety officer and crane inspector. Herb was a mentor to many and was respected by all who knew him.
In his personal life, Herb found immense joy in his family and friends. A true product of British Columbia, he had a passion for the outdoors and loved camping, hunting, and fishing.
Herb will be remembered for his fun-loving spirit, sense of humour, love for family and friends, and the joy he brought to everyone around him. His adventurous heart will live on in the stories shared by those who loved him.
In keeping with his wishes, there will not be a service.
