

Raised in Agassiz on a small dairy farm, she helped with chores around the house. For her entertainment she loved playing the piano in the small family band.
After graduating from Agassiz High School, she moved to Campbell River, BC to live with her Aunt Jean to study university entrance course, graduating in 1956. After this, she moved to Vancouver to begin her career with BC Telephone Company while sharing an apartment with her sister Pat. Isabelle met her future husband Allan Alston at the First Aide Course they both were attending.
Isabelle and Allan were married in 1958 and had one daughter, Alycsa Darlene born in September 1960. They relocated to Seattle, Washington where she worked for a mortgage company. Later in the years, she and Allan became divorced and with her daughter they moved to Hope, BC Canada where she purchased a retail clothing store called Design Mine.
Isabelle was blessed with her first grandchild Tyson in 1986 and 3 yerars later she was blessed with her granddaughter Catherine. She eventually sold her retail clothing business and moved to Chilliwack, BC where she made the decision to retire and enjoy life. She loved to travel making Hawaii her first adventure in 1984. After this she went on a Caribbean Cruise - 1986; Puerto Vallarta, Mexico was her next vacation which was in 1987. In 1988 she cherished her Scottish Heritage roots and travelled to Scotland to visit the family castle and meet many relatives. These are just a few vacations she went on.
In 2023 she relocated to Agassiz, BC to be closer to her nephews & ieces where she continued to deal in her passion of Real Estate. Isabelle loved family and stayed in touch with many of them.
She was predeceased by Allan, her daughter Alycsa and 8 siblings (Harold, Rod, Faye, Duncan, Billy, Jean, Marge, Doug). Survived by grandchildren Tyson & Catherine, 4 great grandchildren and siblings; Don, Pat, Caroline, Colin & Thelma.
