August 13, 1927 – September 29, 2012
Jim, beloved husband of the late Jo (Mary), passed away peacefully in Chilliwack, with family by his side, on September 29, 2012 at the age of 85. He will be deeply mourned by his children; Jim (Lynne), Mark, Linda (Al McDonell), Jeff (Kelly) and grandson Travis. He will be missed by his brother Duncan (Helen), sister Pat (Stan) Graham, in-laws Pearl Falez, Ellie Falez, Lloyd Siemens, Ed Anker, Joe (Lee) Falez and his many nieces and nephews.
Jim was born and raised in Calgary, where he was employed by the City of Calgary as a Senior
Systems Analyst. Upon his retirement, in 1982, he and Jo moved to Canmore where they were members, and subsequently life members, of the Canmore Golf Club. For many years, they spent their winter months in Chilliwack, where they permanently relocated in 2007.
At Jim’s request there will be no formal service at this time, but his family will be hosting a memorial/celebration of both Jim’s and Jo’s lives at the Canmore Golf Course in the spring/summer of 2013.
In lieu of flowers, donations could be made to the MS Society of Canada.
