Kathleen "Kay" Agnes Budvet

It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Kathleen “Kay” Budvet. Mom was truly a gentle and caring soul, that was loved by all that met her. Her compassion seemed endless. Her love of family was unwavering. She was our mother, Nana, GG and our matriarch. She was a special friend to many others. To everyone..she was Kay.

In Kay’s true unobtrusive fashion, she quietly slipped away on June 1st, 2026. Sunday she was busy telling us what she wanted for her 97th birthday party…the next…she decided it was time to leave. She left on what would have been her and Henry’s 76th wedding anniversary.

Not many can say they’ve had 2 true loves. But in Kay’s life…she had two. She shared over 25 years of marriage and raising a family with Henry Miller (deceased in 1975). After 10 years alone, she met and married Bill Budvet (deceased in 2013). Together they shared another 28 years of travelling and enjoying life.

Kay leaves to mourn her daughter Brenda (Ken) Gendron, son Brian (Kim Addison) Miller and step-daughter Lynda (Vic) Gentile.

Also feeling her loss are her grandchildren Meagan (Ash) Mucha, Danielle (Shane) O’Connor, Liam Miller and Evan (Meaghan) Gentile. Kay was also blessed with 5 great-grandchildren, Myles and McCoy Mucha, Cohen and Clementine Kay O’Connor and Kayleigh Gentile. Kay is also survived by 2 sisters, Iris and Eileen, numerous nieces & nephews and many people she loved as extended family. She will be greatly missed.

Mom lived a life full of love and compassion with her family as her core. A special thank you to all our “Rosedale Family” and staff at Heritage Village for the past 3 years of caring and loving her. And to all her friends that she met there… we couldn’t have done it without you.

Kay was laid to rest with Henry, on what would have been her 97th birthday, on June 23rd, 2026. A small celebration for Kay will be held at a later date.

We will miss you mom… more than you’ll ever know. The memories you’ve left us with will always be in our hearts. Rest Easy mom…you deserve it.
