She is survived by her sister Lise Laforest, children Linda (David Roberts), Mike, and Sylvia (Bob Wist), grandchildren Mitchel and Isaiah, and great grandchildren Tenchi and Kotori.
Connie, as her mother nicknamed her, was born in Quebec City, the fourth of 6 children. In her teens, she trained as a seamstress, but she seems to have longed for something more adventurous. At the age of 18, with limited English, she joined the RCAF and headed to Ontario. There, she met her future husband, Roger, with whom she raised 4 children.
Caring for her family was a full-time job, but she eventually returned to the workforce retiring from the public service in 1995. In retirement she enjoyed bowling, line dancing, and joining friends for her "Red Hat" lunches.
She was a wonderful mom, grandmother, great-grandmother, wife, sister, and friend. She will be dearly missed.
