It is with great sadness that the family of Marjorie Jacqueline Norris announce her passing on August 4th, 2025 at the age of 98 at the Waverly Seniors Village, after her courageous battle with complicated medical illnesses.
Marjorie enjoyed being called "Jackie" and was born in Devon, New Brunswick on November 28th, 1926, the second oldest of four children. She met and married the love of her life, Les, in 1948 to whom she had been married for 70 years. They lived in many places throughout Canada, and eventually settled in B.C. where they enjoyed life.
Jackie loved family, fun, a good laugh, and family get togethers. Prior to her retirement, she had a career as a registered nurse. Jackie loved visiting with her family, being there for her children and grandchildren, doing puzzles, playing Yahtzee and of course, reading her bible.
Jackie will be lovingly remembered by her three children, Linda Harvey, Robert Norris (Dee), Roxanne Wojcik (Bruce); her grandchildren Bobbi-Jo Harris (Craig), Karen Kendall (Ross), Tanya Sanford (Garrett), Tammy Wojcik (Gord), Paul Wojcik (Shelley), Les Norris (Jenny); her great-grandchildren Jennette, Carmen, Tristan, Jaden, Hayes, Madeline, and Ian; as well as her sister-in-law Jean Meager (Larry).
We would like to extend our heartfelt thank-you for the exceptional kindness and care provided in the Waverly Seniors Village by the long term care staff who lovingly became Jackie's "second" family (Boris, Ken, Dianne, Nancy and many others). The care and compassion from Dr. Ling Low was greatly appreciated, as well from her nurse, Vicky. There was always a hug there when it was needed.
Jackie was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, and will be forever missed. We love you so much. A Celebration of Life will be held with all her immediate family. Date to be determined.
