We can now light a candle as a tribute to “Mavis, Mom, Gramma B, and Dear Friend.”
We all knew her for her warm heart and loving hugs. She cared deeply for everyone in her life and never faltered in her compassion for others. She would openly connect with strangers with her warm smile and words. Always there to listen, comfort, care, and love in times of sorrow and happiness.
She cherished her husband Jack (deceased), sisters Jan, Lorraine, Kay, Ardith (deceased) and their families, her parents Evelyn and Ernie (deceased), son Dave and wife Cathy, daughter Sandi and husband Al, three grandchildren Taylor, Kelsea and Emily, and two great granddaughters.
She was inspired by close friendships, family reunions, endless pictures, music, coastal sunsets, trips to Las Vegas, her volunteer work at Ann Davis, white wine and pizza, and anything golf and curling. She was forever capturing the beauty all around her on camera and her photo’s will always be a source of memories she made for us.
Mavis was born and raised in Northern Alberta, but British Columbia stole her heart when the she and her husband purchased the Quilchena Golf Course in Merritt, BC in 1983. She moved to Chilliwack in 2013.
We will think of her often, hold her dear in our hearts and never forget her legacy. As she has guided us in life, she will forever guide us in spirit.
