Micheal "Mike" Robert Pinvidic

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend, Micheal “Mike” Pinvidic. After a brief illness, Mike’s courageous journey with Alzheimer’s disease came to a peaceful end on August 2, 2026, at the age of 80, surrounded by his loving family.

Mike leaves behind the love of his life, his devoted wife, Marilyn of 52 years, along with his children, Michael "Charlie" (Philippe), Jason, Dustin (Rebecca), Darren (Ashley), and Tricia (Chris). He was a proud and loving grandfather to Trenton, Joshua, Devon, Lilly, and Holden, all of Calgary, Alberta. He is also lovingly remembered by his sister, Josie; his brother, Jim (Irene); many nieces and nephews; and his cherished feline companions, Tinkerbell and Butts, who brought him endless comfort and companionship.

Mike is predeceased by his parents, Charlie and Nellie Pinvidic, and his sister, Yvonne.

Born in Winnipeg, Manitoba, on February 12, 1946, Mike attended St. Charles Convent in his younger years. He lived a full and hardworking life, always embracing new opportunities. Mike drove in demolition derbies, bringing his adventurous spirit and love of excitement to the track. His deep love for animals was evident throughout much of his career. He served as President of the Appaloosa Horse Club and later owned and operated Aristocrat Poodle Parlour and Pets Grooming Centre in Winnipeg, where he cared for countless cats and dogs with kindness and dedication.

Mike later worked in the heating and air conditioning industry in both Winnipeg and Calgary, including with Furnaceman. Never one to shy away from hard work, he eventually moved to British Columbia, where he owned and operated Reliable Mini Movers in Agassiz before finishing his working years with Black Press in Abbotsford.

Above all, Mike’s greatest joy was his family. Nothing meant more to him than spending time with those he loved. Whether sharing stories, lending a helping hand, or simply enjoying the company of his wife, children, grandchildren, and beloved cats, Mike had a gentle heart and a quiet way of making those around him feel loved. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to the doctors, nurses, and staff at Chilliwack General Hospital for the compassionate care and kindness they showed Mike and his family during his final days.
