Noah Myhre, born June 9, 1998, in Burnaby, BC, passed away on November 22, 2024, in Chilliwack BC after a long battle with addiction and mental health. Despite the struggles and challenges within himself, Noah remained a loving light and inspiration to everyone around him.
Noah was the youngest child of Eva and Ryan Myhre and younger brother to Devon Myhre, Jaden Peter, and brother-in-law to Michael Peter. He was uncle to Devon’s daughter, Aurora Myhre, as well as Jaden and Michael’s sons, Cohen Peter, Weston Peter, and Bennett Peter; all of whom he fiercely loved and supported. He was also an adored nephew to many aunts and uncles as well as cousin to so many incredibly humans who loved Noah as much as he loved them.
Words cannot be said about Noah without mentioning music. He was an incredibly talented self-taught musician. He played some piano/keyboard but spent most of his musical years on the guitar. He was inspired by the numerous family members who strummed Johnny Cash tunes during family get togethers. He asked for his first guitar for Christmas after watching the movie, Walk the Line. As he grew older, he listened to all genres and appreciated all sounds, but nothing compares to the way the work of Red Hot Chili Peppers and, specifically, John Frusciante dug deep within his soul. Aside from listening to music, Noah composed and covered countless compositions and shared them with anyone and everyone who would listen. Truly listening to his music is to truly know Noah. It was sacred to him, it was his way of communicating soul to soul, and it was his constant and consistent lifeline.
Noah Myhre was possibly the most generous and caring person who loved deeper than anyone else. He is the kind of person who would give you what he had, even if he needed it. He was goofy and hilarious and fed off of bringing others joy. From the moment he was born Noah was who he was and not a single thing changed that, no matter what he struggled through. Despite the darkness of the disease that he fought every single day, Noah never lost what made him who he was. He was bright light for many, and a silent supporter for many others. He was a pure soul who wished nothing but the best for everyone around him.
The loss of Noah is profound and will be felt deeply by all who knew him.
We would like to warmly invite all that knew, loved, or been touched by Noah’s spirit to join us for a service in his honour at Henderson’s Funeral Home, located at 45901 Victoria Avenue in Chilliwack, at 11:00 AM on Saturday, November 30, 2024.
