Norm passed away on June 13, 2026 in Agassiz, BC after a lengthy battle with dementia. He was born in Montreal on June 20, 1942. He felt he was very fortunate in having a great life – starting with fantastic parents who he loved very much. He had a happy childhood, and grew to love all sports, assisted by his brothers Jim and Ken. He played junior hockey, football and baseball, and excelled at all of them. He was fortunate to spend almost his entire career (over 39 years) with Hallmark Cards. During the FLQ crisis in 1970 he requested, and was granted a transfer to Victoria. He and Cecile raised their 3 children there. They subsequently separated, and in 1989 he married Anne (and felt privileged to become part of the Martin clan!)
Norm is survived by his wife Anne, children Eric (Shannon), Bruce and Tina, and grandchildren Caitlin, Hunter, Braedon, Nate and Ben. Also his nieces and nephew and their families. He was predeceased by his parents Anna and Chris, his brothers Jim and Ken, his in-laws Pat and Maurice, and his first wife Cecile. Cremation. No service by request.
