Paula Marie Mickler, mother to Jordan and wife to Roland, passed away on September 12th, 2026, at 5:07am after a long battle with cancer. Her final moments were spent peacefully in Cascade Hospice, surrounded by the love of her friends and family.
Known for her sense of humour and quick wit, Paula will be dearly missed by all who knew her. Paula’s family asks that she be remembered for the joy she brought to others in life, not the sadness of her passing. She is survived by her son, Jordan, her younger siblings: brother Ken Howard and sister Kathy Smith and their families.
The family wishes to thank Dr. Enns and his staff for their excellent care of Paula throughout her cancer journey and the staff and volunteers at the Cascade Hospice Centre for their compassionate care during her final two months. Thank you to the many friends who faithfully stopped by to visit with Paula. You filled her last months with such joy.
A celebration of Paula’s life will be held at the Coast Hotel on Saturday, October 3 from 1:00pm – 4:00pm for family and friends. In lieu of flowers, if you so desire please donate to the Cascade Hospice Centre in her name.
