Pearl Eva Commodore

Pearl Eva Commodore, age 89, of Cultus Lake, British Columbia passed away on Saturday, August 23, 2025. Pearl was born on June 12, 1936 in North Battleford Saskatchewan. Her father was a Soldier and moved here to Chilliwack where he was posted at the Chilliwack Army Base. Pear spent most of her working career as a cleaner for the federal government:Coqualeetza. She was actively involved in the Soowahlie Elders Group and she also enjoyed ceramics,reading, puzzles and she could beat you at a good game of Scrabble or Trivial Pursuit. All the children have great memories of spending the summer days at the beach at Cultus Lake. We would be there all day and then walk home tired but so very happy.

Pearl will be lovingly remembered by her 5 children Laura, Norma, Debra, Bryan and Brad (Lisa) Commodore; 13 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great grandchildren as well as many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

She is predeceased by her parents Arthur and Lora Poile and sister Peggy Bowers and brother Harold Poile.

A visitation for Pearl will be held Thursday, August 28, 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Woodlawn Mt. Cheam Funeral Home 45865 Hocking Ave, Chilliwack.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday August 30 at 5:00pm at Soowahlie Band Hall 4393 Soowahlie Road, Cultus Lake BC.

The family would like to thank the Cascade Lodge staff for the care and compassion they showed Pearl in her final days.
