Rita Carson passed away on a beautiful day, September 27, 2012 in Fraser Canyon Hospice in Hope, BC. She was born in Yorkton SK to Fred and Mary Carson on April 17, 1939. She will be sadly missed by her husband, Ronald Scroggie; children, Susan (Gary), Rhonda and Sandra; sisters Shirley (Leon) and Mervina (Gordie), brothers Clare (Fern), David (Shelly), and Mervin (Darla); 7 grandchildren and auntie to many loving nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by Tom Carson and Pat Carson. Private family gathering of family and friends at a special time. Our family is so grateful for the Fraser Canyon Hospice Society, our wonderful Dr. J.P. Greggain and Dr. Adams, the best crew of nurses, and the ladies in housekeeping. Special thanks to Janice Simpson and Mervin Carson. Everyone was such a help. Rita was so brave: she will always be with us. Online condolences may be offered at www.woodlawn-mtcheam.ca.
Sisters
A bond as durable as DNA
As fragile as a hair strand
As strong as fishing wire.
Sisters
A belly-laugh shared over cups of tea
A memory made and replayed
In conversations of the heart
And mind=producing screen plays.
Sisters
Too different to see the separate scenarios of life each lived out
Yet, too close not to fee
A comfort of spirit
That comes from sharing a common past.
A common thread
That sews the many shared memories together
Like beads in a hand-made necklace.
More like a macaroni necklace
Odd, yet unique
And, cut from the same mold.
We fit
We’re family.
Love from sister’s Shirley & Mervina
