

1918 – 2011
Born in Pigeon Bluff, Manitoba, on June 10, 1918, Bob passed away peacefully on December 29, 2011 at Chilliwack General Hospital. Predeceased by his warbride, Florence Prince and his son, Wayne. Bob leaves behind three children, seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. After serving in the Royal Canadian Air Force during World War II, flying Sunderland flying boats on anti submarine patrol, he made a career as a commercial pilot in northern Ontario and Quebec. On retiring from his own business as a fishing and Hunting outfitter he moved to Chilliwack, BC in 1988, and resided here these past 23 years.
Bob was a wonderful father and grandfather who loved his family. He had a terrific sense of humour and a love of life that was contagious. He loved the outdoors, fishing, photography, gardening, amateur radio, wildlife, nature and people. He will be fondly remembered by his daughter Patricia (Roland) Theriault, his son Gregory (Colette), and his daughter Wendy Scott (Diane Gagnon); his grand children Kathy, Steve, Jonathan, Jennifer, Christine, David and Melissa.
Visitation will be held at Woodlawn Mt Cheam Funeral Home, 45865 Hocking Ave., Chilliwack, on Tuesday, January 3 from 7 to 9 pm. The celebration of his life will be at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 6300 Tyson Ave., Chilliwack, BC V2R 3G8 at 1:30 pm on January 4, 2012.
