She is survived by her children Perry and Tamara.
Born in Winnipeg to Charles and Lenore Yore, she grew up in Lac du Bonnet, Manitoba.
The family moved to Red Lake, Ontario where Rolanda lived for many years.
Married in 1955 to Jack Skavinski, they had two children: Perry and Tamara.
At one point they bought a house on the lake shore enjoying things like boating and feeding the ducks.
Rolanda ran her parents' tourist camp for one summer after their sudden passing.
She was active with her flower garden while in Red Lake.
After Jack retired, they moved to Lac du Bonnet in 1991. They spent their winters in Victoria and then moved to Victoria in 1997 where they lived until Jack passed away in 2004.
Rolanda then moved to Chilliwack to be near Tamara. She remained there until her passing.
