Rose "Rosie" Viola Melsted

Rose was predeceased by her devoted husband Don Melsted, whom she loved and missed dearly.

She is survived by her loving daughter Sherry (Tim), 3 grandchildren, Brad, Katie, and TJ.

Rose shared many wonderful years with her 3 step-children, Rod (Colleen), Jan (Norm), Sandy (Gil), and their children, Marnie, Rod Jr., Katelyn, Taylor, Derek, Travis, and David.

Rose was survived by 13 great-grandchildren.

Over the years, Rose and Don were hosts to endless parties and celebrations. Card games and dinners that included an abundance of dear friends and family. It was at these get-togethers that fun-loving memories were made. Annual fishing trips, hockey games, and special holidays were treasured experiences. Rose deeply enjoyed her family and her many friends—hers was a life well lived.

Rose had a “quick as a whip” sense of humour, and a contagious laugh. She will be forever remembered for her kindness, her keen sense of humour, and her generosity. As well as her, home-made snickerdoodle cookies, party-mix and her wonderful Sunday family roast beef dinners.

A memorial service for Rose will be held Friday, October 17, 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Henderson's Funeral Home followed by a reception.
