In later years they opened their home to foster children, caring for and raising numerous children for many years. She loved the babies and toddlers.
Sandra eventually went back to school after moving into town and settling at 150 Mile House, BC. She loved crocheting, crafting, garage sales, a good strawberry milkshake and dreamed of travelling.
She made many trips to different places, but her love fell for Jamaica and it became her favorite place. The heat, culture, music and the Jamaican people made her call it “Home”.
