It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Sheila Eileen Bakker, a compassionate and caring soul, passed away on February 4, 2026, at the age of 78. Born on June 9, 1947, in Langley, British Columbia. Sheila was a resident of Chilliwack, British Columbia, where she touched many lives with her warmth and kindness.
Sheila's career began at the Chilliwack Army base, where she worked diligently until its closing. Following this, she dedicated her life to caring for children with special needs, a role she embraced with love and commitment. Sheila cared for two special boys right up until just days before her unexpected passing.
Sheila had a profound love for animals, especially her cherished kitties, Gus and Mia, who remain a testament to her nurturing spirit.
