It is with profound sadness that we announce the sudden passing of beloved wife, mother, Grammy, and friend, Susanne Michelle Steensland.

Susanne was the heart of her family and a woman of remarkable generosity, talent, and kindness. She loved gardening and possessed a wealth of knowledge that she was always happy to share. Whether she was tending her garden, knitting, sewing, canning, or baking, she poured love into everything she created.

She was often the first person to make something special for a new baby, lovingly crafting handmade gifts that will be treasured for years to come. Family and friends were fortunate recipients of her thoughtful acts of kindness.

Susanne loved bringing people together. Family gatherings, holiday meals, and celebrations filled her home and her heart. She took great pride in creating lasting memories around a table surrounded by the people she loved most.

Nothing brought Susanne more pride than her family. She was a devoted wife to Rudy, a loving mother to Francois, Genevieve, Logan, and Owen, and a proud grandmother to Amelia and Hunter. She loved cheering on her grandchildren at swim meets and hockey, celebrating every achievement, big and small.

Susanne leaves behind a legacy of love, generosity, creativity, and family. Though she left us far too soon, and there was still so much more she had to teach us, her influence will continue to live on in the traditions she created, the lives she touched, and the family she loved so much.

She will be forever loved, deeply missed, and always remembered.
