Born on September 3, 1964, in Prince George, British Columbia, Trudy lived a life defined by compassion, generosity, and unwavering dedication to those she loved. She was the beloved wife of Oscar Funes and a devoted mother to Krista Loewen (Javen Loewen), Valentina Jones (Tristyn Jones), and Antonio Funes (Kelsey Haugan). She was also a proud and loving grandmother to her cherished granddaughter, Ava Loewen.

For many years, Trudy poured her heart into her alterations business. Sewing was far more than a profession to her, it was her passion. She believed everyone deserved access to quality work at a fair price and often charged less than she could have because helping people mattered more to her than profit. Through her talent, dedication, and kindness, she touched the lives of countless clients who became friends along the way.
Known for her strong will, resourcefulness, and determination, Trudy could find a solution to almost any problem. No challenge was too great, and no task was left unfinished when she set her mind to it. Her strength carried her through life’s difficulties, and her resilience inspired those around her.
Above all else, Trudy’s greatest joy was her family. The love she gave so freely, the lessons she taught, and the memories she created will remain forever in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
She leaves behind a legacy of kindness, hard work, and selfless love that will continue to live on through her family and the many lives she touched.
She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered always.
