Our dear husband, dad, and opa will always be remembered for his passion for his kids, grandkids and great grandkids. He enjoyed playing, or singing as a family. Dad, was always humming or singing along. He had a heart for those with special needs and broken lives. Many foster children found love on his lap and in his arms. He was known to all as “OPA”.
Dad immigrated from the Netherlands in 1953 and when he married mom, they started dairy farming together on Gibson Road until he retired. After his retirement he lived in Sardis for 16 years. Dad loved to visit his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren throughout Canada and America.
