It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Wolfgang “Lefty” Reinhardt on August 12, 2026. A loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend. Lefty will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
Born in Germany, Dad immigrated to Canada at the age of 17. After trying his hand at farming, he spent the next years at P & E Builders, Main Cycle & Mower Service, Century Building and Hometown Rentals before he found his calling at Larry Industries, where he worked for 25 years until his retirement.
Dad’s greatest passions in life were his family, his faith, hunting, listening to classic country music and cheering on the Montreal Canadiens, which he passed down to his children. His family was at the heart of everything he did.
He is survived by his loving wife of 68 years, Linda; his children, Randy, Michele (Bob), and Yvonne (Bernie); his grandchildren, Melanie (Michael), Justin, Sasha, Carla (Daine), Alana (Casey), and Mila (Dakoda); and his eight great-grandchildren who he adored, Keeley, Ty, Addison, Logan, Presley, Dallas, Winter, and Waylon.
He is also survived by his siblings, Irene (Robert), Jurgen (Darleen), and Gernot (Danzante), sister-in-law Judi, and a very close and loving extended family.
Lefty was predeceased by his parents, Daniel and Friedemarie; his brother Detlev and recently his sister Margot.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to the Agassiz Senior Community for the wonderful care and kindness they provided to Dad over the past four years.
A service celebrating Lefty’s life will be held at Christ Lutheran Church, 9460 Charles Street, Chilliwack, on August 31, 2026 at 1:00 pm with a reception to follow.
