Bobby Gene Simmons

Born on July 4, 1939 in Madison County, Ga. he was the son of the late Oscar and Ruby Parham Simmons. Educated in the Cabarrus County Schools, he was a self employed carpenter

Mr. Simmons served his country in th US Air Force. In addition to his parents, he was preceded by his son Randy Simmons in 1981, a grandson Nathan O'Neal Whitsel in 2003 and by his brothers Larry and William Simmons. Those left to cherish his memory is his wife of 54 years Nancy Ritchie Simmons, and daughter Sandra S. Watson (Bobby) of Mt. Ulla, grandchild Dawn Michelle Whitsel and great granddaughters; Megan and Hannah Daniels. Also surviving him are his sisters, Wendel Pruitt, Hazel Coughenhour and Mazell Roach, all of Salisbury and Shirley Patrick of Georgia.

Visitation will be on Wednesday from 10:00 til 11:00 at Linn Honeycutt Funeral Home in China Grove with funeral at 11:00 also at the funeral home with burial at West Lawn Memorial Park.
